Duct tape, baling wire and or a rope. Is that all I need?

I never thought that if the home owner was me, how would I do it.

Fix things I mean. After all we all have our "Uncle Bob's" in the family.

When inspecting home and commercial businesses, I find all types of good little ingenuity projects around the properties I inspect.

This photo here is a gas line that was not properly supported.

 Rope to support the gas line.

This rope is attached to a nail in the ceiling of the furnace closet. "Uncle BOB" hard at work.

Electrical tape to repair a burnt hose.

This time "Uncle BOB" was busy with the electrical tape. The line should have been re routed to stay away from the exhaust vent of the furnace. It does get very hot.

Remember, no matter how good you think you are at repairing things. There are professionals for just that job.

Hey, Wayne and jean Marie,

The owners probably thought  "that takes care of that".

And really felt good that they did the repairs.

But in some cases, they cause more damage in the long run.

Look at all the repairs "Uncle Bob" made over the years. Now they have to be re done by a pro.

The home owner says "it has worked all these years". LOL

Clint, I would never mess with gas lines or electricity but I will admit to the inner "Uncle Bob" in me.  Fortunately, I am not selling my house but there are some uhm creative uses of mini stretch cords and copper wiring in the basement!  No duct tape though...not artistic enough, lol.

There are clamps and mounting brackets for electrical lines anywhere you have them.

But as long as they are colorful I would laugh at you.
