Being in real estate for 8 years now and continuing to go through the ups and downs is making me realize that a career in real estate may be the biggest roller coaster ride possible. The highs can be wonderful, and the lows can be a bigger drop than the Magnum at Cedar Point. This is meant to be quick shout out to those that are currently at the bottom, and need some help up!
Every Realtor, Broker, Mortgage banker, and real estate investor out there has had at least one morning when they wake up and think that they should get out of the business. Real Estate is just a challenging business no matter what angle your approaching it from. Deals fall apart, home inspections go wrong and buyers decide not to buy. That happens to everyone from time to time. Unfortunately, I can probably speculate that my generation of real estate agents has experienced far more lows than highs due to the economic downturn and real estate bubble implosion all at once.
I'm here to tell everyone that the ride is about to finally slow down, and I sincerely hope you don't get off of the ride too soon. I have found a tremendous amount of uplifting support from fellow ActiveRain members and I'm encouraging you all to do the same. Reach out to colleagues and piers, ask questions and continue to increase your knowledge base. If you do things the right way over and over again, and continue to invest quality time and energy, you will be rewarded!
