One of the best parts of Active Rain is the people who are involved.  If you've been on AR for any time, you have noticed the volumes of great information that is posted everyday.  You can get a college level education just from reading the blogs of the brainy people who share their knowledge and experience so freely on this site.  That's great, and the people who write those blogs are great people too.

I've gotten to know a number or Rainers fairly well through their writings, phone calls, emails and comments.  Late last year, I was able to link up with Andrea Bedard to do a 12 hour cycling fund raiser for the Susan G Komen foundation, and I can tell you that she is just as genuine and sweet in person as she comes across on her blog.

Today, I had the privilege of linking up with Jon and Olga Zolsky.  Jon Jon & Olga Zolskyand Olga own a brokerage in Daytona Beach Shores.  When I realized that Jon's brokerage was just down the street from the condo we're in, I let him know we'd be in the area, and a get together was in the works.  

Jon and Olga have a great niche brokerage, Fun Coast Realty, in the Daytona Beach Shores area.  They specialize in the sale of condos along the beach.  After talking with Jon, I can confirm that he is a great guy, and he is truly the condo guru.

Jon's market is a great area with beautiful tall buildings.  The beach becomes your front yard, and who could ask for a better front yard?  OK, I'm partial to the beach.  Jon's experience in this market has made him the resident expert on condos along the Atlantic Jon ZolskyBlvd.  He was telling me that you can mention a building along the strip and he can give you the details.  That's the broker you want to hire.

I've enjoyed learning from Jon on Active Rain, and he continued to share his wisdom and experience at lunch today.  Jon and Olga talked about some of their experiences that have me interested in trying some of their techniques.  I'm sure I'll be calling Jon for more guidance at some point.  If you're in the Daytona Beach Shores area, make sure to drop by and say hi to Jon and Olga.  They're great folks.

Cheryl, I'll be calling you the next time I'm heading to NVA with a flexible schedule.  I really enjoy meeting everyone in person.  We did talk about real estate a little, but we talked about other things too.  Does that count as a break?

It was a real pleasure meeting you and Olga.  I enjoyed hearing about your work here, and I wish I had asked more non-real estate questions.  8-)  Habit of the business, I guess.  Loved the Thai restaurant.  It was really good.  I will definitely try to get my veggie son to drop in there the next time he's in town.  If you all have another opportunity to meet up, it's our treat.  Thanks for making time for us.

It was nice, Jill.  We went to a great Thai restaurant for lunch.  I'll definitely keep that one on my to-do list.
