Top Ten Reasons you should join us at Real Estate Connect for an ActiveRain Gathering!!

My apologies to Tom Plant. This list is WAY overdue.

We are having an ActiveRain gathering in NYC during the Real Estate Connect Conference presented by Inman News. The gathering will be on Wednesday January 9th from 7-9pm in the lobby at the Paramount Hotel in Time Square. Any time we get a chance to get out and meet some of our members, we are thrilled. So in recognition of the get together being in the home of the real Top 10 List, and because Jon thinks they are a good idea, here goes............

Top Ten reasons you should join us at the ActiveRain gathering during Real Estate Connet:

10. Four wild and crazy guys will be in attendance.

9. Matt has been known to have a few cocktails and he's a riot when he does. Here's proof, this will give you an idea of the overall flavor :)

8. We've been known to give out ActiveRain insider secrets at these type of gatherings (see #8). I've been known to do it after a few cocktails myself :)

7. Tom had a contest and the theme Ba-Da-Boom, Ba-Da-Blog really fits the New York style setting. We tried to book someone from the Gotti family, but most of them have prior arrangements

6. What better place to go after the first day of the conference to be able to call dibs on who gets to post about what topics. All four of us will have our Iphone's and may even trade features for drinks :) (Ok, Ok, maybe I'm the only one that will do that, but hey, I get really thirsty)

5. You may finally get to meet that blogger that really gets under your skin. Boxing gloves will be provided and we will go to the scorecards after the fourth round in the case of an accidental stoppage.

4. Four wild and crazy guys (see #10) have been known to break out in an impromptu rendition of this classic Broadway musical.

3. You'll have plenty of time to fix your makeup and shine your shoes between the Inman cocktail party and the ActiveRain gathering.

2. You can meet the real brains behind this whole operation, and she's much cuter than the "Four Wild and Crazy Guys" (see #10)

And the number one reason that you should join the ActiveRain Team for a gathering during the Real Estate Connect Conference presented by Inman News:

1. You'll be able to look on in amazement as relationships that have been forged for months online are finally consummated with a hand shake or a hug. Would you really pass up the opportunity to meet some of your newfound best friends in person?

This is the one meetup I was close enough to go to, but on Jan 9th I will be meeting my new granddaughter for the first time. Guess the timings not quite right yet. Will be looking forward to photos and posts though.

I'm celebrating the new year with closing that day. Otherwise I would be right there. Darn!

Sorry, we've never had the best timing here at AR...........but it sounds like in your particular instance, even with advanced notice meeting your granddaughter for the first time would take precedence.

It was great meeting so many of you at Inman Blogger Connect in San Francisco last summer - sorry I won't be in New York to meet old friends and make some new ones. But I will be at Sally and Randy's Active Rain gathering in Honolulu!

I know we intend on doing a little more "getting out" this year, so it may not be a long shot. And yes, #2 is a given especially after you meet her......quite charming!!

How's this...you guys can have ALL my points if you come get your own sunshine :) Don't you all want to come warm up? We think it's cold....60 degrees the last two nights and I had to wear socks to bed. :)

This is close enough for me to go, and I gave it some thought, but not in the plans this time around. I'd certainly love to meet even more AR members, and look forward to doing just that but not in NYC next week, unfortunately. Enjoy!

Hi Bob: I really wish I could make it, but New York just doesn't work for me. And the last one was in San Francisco. I could not attend that one, either, although I really wanted to. How about having the next one right in the middle of the country... in Fort Worth or Dallas, Texas. Then, you'd be close enough so everyone could attend. Gave a great time ! Take care...

Bob, NYC is my favorite place, specially this time of year (snow!). Sorry I can't make the trip tho. I'll see what I can do about getting a special guest to show up tho! I'm sure I have a relative in the city somewhere that fits what you are looking for :)

Thats my home town..I don't think I can make it ..I have guests coming in the day after but I would love to put the gloves on and do some ground and pound on the blogger...whoever they are:)

Sure wish I could be there, looks like yet another great event and gathering! :-)

It was great meeting the AR Team and a lot of Rainers at The Palms during NAR. Events like this are definitely worth the trip if you're in the area. Looking forward to lots of great content from Connect next week.

Bob.... Can't make the conference but looking at our schedule my morning is booked Wednesday and my wife has a mid morning meeting Thursday so we might be able to carve out a few hours to visit the lobby. Reservations Required?

Bob... sooooo looking forward to this now. A few weeks ago, yes, it sounded like a good time... but I loved Rudy's video. Looking forward to meeting the 4 naked boys and the brains, Sara.

Now, Brian Brady mentioned 3 cocktail parties. I see two, Inman and AR... unless he is talking about Bank of America's also.... I was planing on coming back Wednesday night, but I might have to rethunk this.... lol I will be up Tuesday though...

And Faina, we can stumble to those trains together, because I will probably need help finding them also... lol

ah... okay, you have Inman's gathering from 5 to 6pm.... Zillow's from 6 to 8 pm.... and AR's gathering from 7 to 9 pm.... 4 hours... sound dangerous. ;o) Just looking forward to the faces finally, in person.

Wish I could be there ! This sounds like a wonderful opportunity ! Can I have those AR inside secrets via telephone ? lol..

Inman Connect sounds like it will be a great time. The AR party at the Palms, and meeting so many great people, was definitely a NAR highlight for me. Hope to see everyone again in Orlando next year. We should have a great host committee there. . .

Honolulu? Did I somehow miss my invitation?

From one Bob to another, I wish I could be there along with Lisa. Unfortunately my appointments wont allow the time for us to get into the city from my office. We wouldn't make it until 10 tonight. Wish we were there but business is business. Have fun everybody and maybe next time your all in NYC we can make it.
