Don't forget to check out the Governors Office of Emergency Service by visiting: http://edis.oes.ca.gov/

Last but not least, if you must travel please check the Caltrans website for road conditions by visiting: http://www.dot.ca.gov/ Also, make sure you are fully prepared to travel during the winter by carrying warm clothes, blankets, flashlights, food, chains, and a first aid kit.
