9 Comments on How to Donate Money to Help Bodie, The K9 Shot in Land Park
How sad. Thanks for putting up the link for Bodie.
Elizabeth, i have to admit I've never had that happen to me, I'm glad to hear Brodie will recover, those dogs are amazing assets to their departments and all that they do.
That is terrible to hear about, I am just glad that Bodie was not killed, that would have been absolutely horrible news.
My managing broker used to work with a K9 unit when she was a police officer. I imagine she is very concerned over this incident. Those dogs put their lives on the line every day, but what kind of person could or would shoot a dog?
I hope the poor dog is okay. I once was out showing homes in a neighborhood and saw a throng of police cars descend and officers jump out and run with their bullet proof vests on, rifles drawn. Not a good feeling.
I really just need ten minutes alone with the shooter.... just ten little minutes.
Hi Chris Ann: The dog is still in serious condition but he is expected to pull through, thank goodness. Everybody at the nail salon on Riverside was talking about it on Friday.
Hi Tammy: What else would you do to him? He's already dead. The police officer shot him after the the shooter shot the dog. The officer left the guy lying there dead on the ground while he scooped up the dog and rushed the dog to the vet. Police know just what to do in an emergency.
Morning Elizabeth and the business of selling must go on. I retired after 29 years in L.E. and for the most part I would not have changed anything about my education. I hope the canine recovers and has a prosperous life
Elizabeth - I had no idea you were so close to this incident. Oddly enough, I had just come from searching for more news on Bodie's condition. His plight is heartbreaking. It appears he will survive this, but has some challenges ahead in his recovery. I understand in addition to other injuries, he has a shattered jaw. But I know good veteranarians often do miraculous things. I understand Bodie's human partner, sleeps with him at the vet hospital on a cot.
