PS Yes - I can spell Connecticut since I was born in the same county where Andrea works! So - 18 years in CT and now 45 years in GA - where am I “from” really? L.
Of course you do.... I just know you do.... you are itching to be (in)famous, right? I am working on a presentation for the Greater Fairfield Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors about ActiveRain and what it has brought to my business. (I was very honored to be asked.)
I am working on my slide show, my talk has been outlined, then I thought about the rest of my friends on ActiveRain. So how about you tell me what ActiveRain has brought to your business and I will put it in the presentation, let me use your photo and you will be (in)famous!
So what has ActiveRain done for me? Here are just a few of the things that I mentioned in my talk.
- I learned how to market myself and NOT depend on my broker to hand me business.
- I learned early on the cold hard facts about short sales.
- I learned why I should be blogging.
- I learned how to write a blog that attracts consumers.
- I learned why local market reports are so important and how to present them to the consumer.
- I learned how to attract the consumer to my website using better search engine optimization.
- I learned the importance of YouTube.
- I understand more and more about what social media means to me and how best to spend my time.
- I stay abreast of the changes in the real estate industry without having to search the web, it is right at my fingertips.
- I was introduced to RealBird, which changed how I do my online marketing for listings.
- I learned how to use Craig’s List properly.
- I learned how to use my IDX to its full advantage.
And I have had a really great time and met some of the most amazing people ever! People I am proud to call my friends, people who teach me how to do a better job, people who understand what I am going through, people with whom I can share.
