It's been a while since I've done a good Localism post- and it's hard to think of a better occasion to speak of than the upcoming golf tournament being held on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 at the Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club, Davenport, FL.

From Joe Rosenthal's iconic photo of our flag's raising atop Iwo Jima's Mt. Suribachi to those being taken by present day Marines, they represent the best in photography from the bravest of photographers.  And from scribes past to modern-day ones, true accounts from the battlefield serve to remind all of us of the great things our heroes do for us while we sleep.

Let's support this most worthy of causes that serves to benefit our wounded Marines.
