It could happen to one of my children. Don't know why people can't just love an accept one another. I think the day of acceptance will come, sadly I do not know if I will live long enough to see it. Each generation seems to have less and less intolerance as people step away from their bigoted parents views.
Thom, thanks for sharing a powerful and moving piece. As one who has moved on this position to a much more open mindset, it has inspired me to speak out. What occurred in North Carolina cannot continue. People who believe in justice and equal opportunity must not and cannot remain silent. I, too, must find a voice to speak for justice.
