21 Comments on Pick Your Own Strawberries in Hernando County, Florida
Silvia, I will be right down --- our Farmers Markets do not have fresh fruits and veggies quite yet - they look so good!
Nothing can be better and says summer more than strawberries Silvia. Now we are craving those red, sweet berries!
Silvia, I have picked fresh vegetables and strawberries from my backyard, however not from the farm. There are no commercial farms in the Venice area.

There is nothing better then fresh picked strawberries.
Good luck and success.

Silvia this can be a fun family activity. I love strawberries especially when they are freshly picked. Recently I have been dipping them in chocolate
Silvia,
Strawberry picking was one of my favorite things to do when I lived in Maine for the summers. Right about now, I'd give anything to be picking strawberries again.
You make me crave strawberries!

Lou, fresh is always best!
Jennifer, that sounds very delicious and tempting!
Patricia, how about planning a little trip to some strawberry fields then?
Hi Silvia...Only a few pounds...ha. I bet you have eaten them all already, maybe before you were back home. Enjoy your strawberries.
Cheers
Silvia -- I love picking berries. Our strawberries are not in season until end of June so we have to wait. Would love to taste some of your fresh picked ones. I really got into making strawberry pies last year. My family went nuts over them. Didn't last more than a day, though! Enjoy!!
Thank you for sharing your blog; we need Real estate Professionals to share their comments and information regarding their markets and experiences. Thanks again from beautiful Colorado
Sylvia, I have never been up to the ranch but since the stawberries we are growing in the back yard are pretty much the size of peas I think we will ride up this weekend and get some fresh local berries. Thank You for sharing. Have a Wonderful (and DRY) weekend. ;)
Silvia You are very lucky - our strawberry fields in Northern Virginia have been replaced by houses
Silvia: You are way ahead of Del Norte County in California. Ours are still blooming in my pots off the deck. But soon...Oh, thanks for making me hungry for some :-)
Fred, you may be right about that one! :-)
Barbara, our season is coming to an end...
James, thanks for stopping in!
Michael, better hurry...
Karen, we can say this about many of our former orange groves...
Hella, speaking of pots... I'm growing potatoes in containers this year! :-)
