This home has an HOA, what does it cover?

Great question.  All Hoa's are different.  They are created by the Home Owners Association (HOA). It really depends on what type of neighborhood you have, does it have a pool, tennis courts, trails?  Those would all be items covered by the HOA.  If you are buying a property with an HOA, it is important that you are aware of the cost, what it covers and the rules and regulations that are in place.

This is a question that needs to be asked by every potential buyer and verified in writing.  Too many times people think they know what is covered because they did not read the documents and then find out they were wrong.  I make sure that buyers read all the rules from beginnng to end to make sure that if they forgot to tell me they have a motorcycle or a truck with signage on it, they will be able to have it in the community.

Definitely an important question - sometimes they can seem high but can over insurance, trash, exterior maintenance, etc - good to know prior to buying!!
