Some companies offer a feature called get work NOW. When a job becomes available an agent can pick it up before an email goes out to hundreds of agents letting them know a job is available. Its not a bad idea to always be logged in and periodically checking for work.

Here's Some BPO Companies with this feature.

Emortgage Logic

Land America

Harbor

Pro Teck

If you know of any other companies please advise.

Getting bpo's is a full time job, my secret is my blackberry, i usually get the email and can claim an order while on the road. I also found some good information on this forum http://www.undermarketre.com

BPO's are a good supplement to a Realtors income.  The trick is to find a company that pays properly, and to do a good job. I had a BPO company call last week and asked if I would do a BPO for them. I asked what the fee was and the person said $35. I laughed and said,"do you know the price of gas and how long it takes to get around the city just to travel 5-10 miles?" "No, thank you." was my reply.  BPO's are great as long as the banks pay a correct fee.

By the way thanks for the links!

Thanks for the web site.  I'm too new to the process to have much to offer yet.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to start getting BPO orders. I have applied to at least 25 companies within the past week and so far not one.  I did get an e-mail yesterday from reotrans.com. I responded to the e-mail within 10 minutes of it coming through and the order was already taken by another agent.  Can anyone give me some adicve or share experiences?

It could take time to get set up on their sites, after you register. But just hold on, they will get you there. BPOs are popular right now and companies Im sure are backlogged.

Danita; Once you get set up come back to how to get bpo and let us know how long it took.

Thanks for the info, looks like they removed the register requirement at www.bpoaccess.com and the list is on the 2nd page.

I signed up with a few companies to do BPO's and in about three weeks I got 4.

I haven't gotten any this week yet.  How do you know if they will continue to use you?

I spent a ton of  time in March signing up with BPO companies. around 25-30 companies.  Ive done some. Mark to Market takes forever to pay like a month and a half or more. EML has been good. One lead from REO trans.

I really dont do too many any more. They arent really worth the time unless you just happen to be in the area or do a ton of them.  I have not really received any phone calls from any companies

and none have lead to REO's  Everyone around  here wants to do REO's. Hard to get into.

Seems  like a  handful of agents get all the business. Some agents have hundreds of listings

eMortgagelogic and Proteck are good paying BPO providers. Some say that if you do BPO's there is a chance of getting some REO business.

When it comes to getting started in the BPO/REO business there is a lot of good resources online and lots of not so good too. What I can share with you is that when all hell broke loose in 06 and when I couldn't seem to sell a home (I am in Las Vegas and we got hit real hard!) I made a lot of money doing BPO's. In my biggest month I made as much as $5,000 and regularly earned at least $2,000 per month. I knew nothing about BPO but came across this excellent resource:  Reokit.com  It saved my career!

Much success to you!
