Morrow's Valley Vineyards Wine & Beer Festival Returning June 2 2012

Valley Vineyard brought back their Wine Festival last year after a four year absence, and it went so well they'll be repeating this year!

So this year, the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday June 2nd, so NO overnight camping! Access is easy, Valley Vineyards is located in Hamilton Township on U.S. Route 22/3, just a bit north of the SR48 intersection. Parking will be $5.

Valley Vineyards started in 1969, and the acres of grapes have been producing some of the best Ohio wine ever since! White or red, they've got something for your preference, by the glass or bottle.

The event will feature Warren County food and wine at it's best! Tours will show how Valley Vineyards grows and produces various wines. Tethered hot air balloon rides by Bella Balloons and a dusk balloon glow too! Live entertainment available too.

And to benefit Hamilton Township's Shop With A Cop program, there will be a fun run/walk through the vineyards, registration at 9, event starts at 10 a.m. Fee is $10 in advance, or $15 at the event for single entries, $20/$25 for family entries. Jerry, It'll be a full day for the participants. They've scaled back from a multi-day event that used to allow overnight camping in the neighboring fields.

Paul, Fortunately probably not enough local competition to dictate dumping. Valley Vineyards does a lot of weekend cook your own steak events to provide additional business. They're also popular with corporate events, I've been there plenty of times as part of my day job. Bill

Anita, We expect they'll get a sizable turnout. Back in the longer festival time a few years ago the line of cars to get in would be pretty sizable.

Dan, Liz likes red wine, preferably dry. I'm actually a non-drinker except for those rare business trips to Japan where we'd have a formal sit down dinner with our suppliers. I'd nurse a beer and a glass of sake for about 3 hours. Bill

Roy, 7 hours of drive time and you could make it! That's our standard drive time to Middletown Maryland give or take 30 minutes.

Toni, The problem they had a few years ago was it got TOO popular, and with the overnight option too many people were getting "slightly" intoxicated. Knocking it down to one day finds the right balance for the event and removes some of the burden from this family run vineyard.
