Each year we mountain peeps have our Mountain GARAGE SALE WEEKEND/S in Lake Arrowhead & other mountain 
communities; the first being Memorial Weekend, which also marks the "real" start of our summer around here. Then to wind summer down, we have another GARAGE SALE WEEKEND on Labor Day Weekend. These two big weekends are a fantastic way to recycle old junk treasures, or to pick up some new ones.
Many mountain home owners who may have sold their cabins, need to get rid of furniture, dishes & other household stuff that they don't want to take with them. Garage Sales are perfect for this.
New homeowners to the mountain may need to buy furiture, snow shovels, whatever, for their new digs. This is a perfect, and inexpensaive, way to pick those items up).
The Mountain News newspaper always does a great job mapping out the Garage Sales, so you'll want to pick up a copy and plan your "adventure." If you're planning on having a Gargage Sale, then you'll want to put an ad in the paper (check now to make sure you get yours in on time).
