This past week a friend and business associate Judy Kasper at REMAX  Preferred Associates gave me a copy of Ohio Magazine, January 2008, The Best Of Ohio.  What a great resource for fun places to visit, sights to see, and things to do around Toledo OhioBowling Green, Perrysburg, and Wood County have much to offer if the areas of  business, entertainment, and education.

A few things I did not know about Bowling Green, Ohio according to the magazine is that it is "Best City to Go Green".  The city obtains 20% of its energy through the use of renewable resources.  Who says Denmark is the only place for Windmills?  Bowling Green has the Green Wind Farm Project which just happens to be  Ohio's first utility Wind Farm.  This wind farm produces enough electricity to supply 3000 residents in Bowling Green.  When thinking about Solar Panels think First Solar located in  Perrysburg.  Also located in Perrysburg is the World Head Quarters for Owens Illinois.

If you  likes to visit places that remind you of our history, Bowling Green has the American Civil War Museum .  The museum can be  a great learning experience for all ages.  The museum  has a variety of Civil War memorabilia and artifacts to view.  If the Civil War era is to far back, than a visit to Snook's Dream Cars Museum might be right up your alley.  Snook's showroom features cars from the 1930s to 1960s.  Visiting all the great spots in Bowling Green might make you a bit hungry for a snack.  May I suggest The Cookie Jar and More.  These cookies are the best around.  Enjoy warm snickerdoodle, oatmeal-raisin-cinnamon-chip, and chocolate chip cookies.  If shopping is on you mind than you must visit the new Levis Commons.  Soon to be opening to the area will be Bass Pro Shops.

Bowling Green is located only minutes from Toledo.  A great place to live if you enjoy a rural life-style.  Would you like to know a little bit about the public school system in Bowling Green.  Then just click on Bowling Green Public Schools.  When talking about Bowling Green education you have to mention Bowling Green State University or also known as BGSU.  It's a great university.  My daughter graduated from the University in 2007, and I can't say enough great things about her experience as a BGSU student.

As you can see, Bowling Green and Perrysburg are two great places to live and are just minutes away from Toledo Ohio.  If Relocation to Toledo, or maybe just a change in your plans of where you want to live in the Toledo Real Estate area is in your future, please visit my website at BertSellsToledoHomes.com.  Bert Spangenthal 419-346-1458 RE/MAX Preferred Associates.

Nancy,

Thank you for your nice comment.  My daughter just loves it there, and spends as much time there as she can.
