It's frustrating when you have to rely on equipment and technology.  I love my computer but my brain is 100 times faster and I have a hard time waiting for the technology to its thing.  Anyway,  I'll make it... somehow... or, is it time for a new computer?!!!

Get a Dell XPS laptop.  Very nice and fast.

Thank goodness your brain is faster!  My problem is keeping the brain's desktop clear of junk - maybe it's the RAM that's faulty!

Wait - we're talking about your computer. :-I  Depends on how old the computer is...

Well...?  ;-)

Bryan,

Thanks for the suggestion.  I will check out this model.  Dell computers are very well made and reliable.  I have been researching them for the last couple of months.  Thanks again.

Hi Matthew,

This one is an HP, about 3 years old.  I know I have lots of programs on it, some quite large.  But, I also share it with my 12-year old daughter who is into picture editing, MySpace and stuff like that.  So between the two of us, we utilize the RAM and the hard drive "quite well", or to the fullest (I'm afraid).

Marzena - might be time to get your own, i.e. keep it as your own.  I have a 3 or 4 year old HP Laptop (it's actually my desktop machine) that is still running quite well (hope I didn't jinx myself).

Getting your own prevents any viruses or unwanted programs from gaining valuable information from your side when your daughter is on line. Better safe than sorry!

Marzena - Are you sure it's your PC and not your connection.  Call your Internet provider and have them test the lines in your area.

Hi Nancy,

Great suggestion.  I will have it checked out, I'm sure there are times when lines running slow.  Thank you!

I would definately have to go with the Dell.  I have always had one and never had a problem.  OK-- that much of a problem.  Usually arould April (tax time) they run great specials.

Thanks, Robin.  I will keep the tax time promotions in mind.  I usually check their website once a month.  Also, I am expecting to have several good closings by the end of March so it will be a good time for to buy one.

Thanks again!
