Link building in the web2.0 world is a lot easier than having to go begging for reciprocal links at related websites.

As we've talked about before, web2.0 sites like Squidoo and Del.icio.us let you put your own content up and this can be beneficial, as long as you use it appropriately and don't spam it to death.

The idea is simple, AboutUs.org is a Wiki that auto generates about pages for any website on the web.

Try it, stick your URL into the ‘find bar’ & watch your own page generate itself. Cool!.

It is scary how little I know about the web.  Would you recommend me spending my time learning this stuff, or just hiring someone to do it?

really depends on you Ben

For between $200 to $1000 per month you can have us handle a lot of this stuff for you

but some people like to learn and figure this stuff out - others ... just want it to happen

we work with either type :)

This will give you an idea of our rates : http://strataxl.com/web-services-rate-sheet

Guys, before you get all excited... Just check the source of the page. All external link have rel="nofollow" added to them which means that the SEO value is almost zero!

There is not much value to this as the site is all "no follow" The page generator is cool though.

They've added no follows since I made the post :(

I agree though, the wiki integrated site sucker is pretty neat :)

Thanks for the information. I checked out our team name and found an old website that we haven't used for a long time on Aboutus.com so I was able to update that with our new website.

Outside Blog Hit Router

Won't it create duplicate content and confuse the search engines and get you put in the sand box?
