From someone who doens't live in a flood area, this was an interesting story. So glad to know that there are groups and organizations who lend a helping hand. You're right, flooring and mud never make a good combination.
Hi Carla! I'm still often surprised at simple things I did not associate with the flooding that pop up. With all that water and such a warm winter I thought the bugs, especially the mosquito's, would be horrible but they say the flood waters flushed out many of the stagnant areas and sent them down the river. It's been a pleasant surprise that I have not seen a mosquito yet this spring.
Bob - WOW! Your "grass" story sort of puts things in perspective! Thanks for sharing it and thanks for always sharing your awesome positive attitude.
Barbara, I am always worried that I am boring people with these stories but I believe it is good for people to know how deep/expansive such a tragedy can be.
