28 Comments on I Am No Longer a Virgin! So Now I Need Your Help!
Good morning, Kathy.....I'll have to check back to read all the comments here....I haven't bought one yet.... I don't really need it, but I want one....I guess that's enough reason to buy it....
Kathy, I'll be checking the comments as well. I've been thinking about finally getting one. Have a great day playing with your new toy:)
Wallace- I do follow Cheryl and she really does love her iPad and she's shared that with us.
Marco- come on Marco... get with it!
Gita- thanks! I read the posts but since I didn't have an iPad yet, I didn't focus on the material, but will now.
BARFF- ah yes... well it happens!
Rob- that's one of the reasons I got one, and I'm looking forward to making presentations with it.
Conrad- that's part of my plan as well as Before and After photos.
Janis- the only difference besides the price point was that you can't have a refurbished one engraved on the back. But since I'll have a cover on it, who cares.
Leslie- Hadn't even thought about email! Still lots to learn.
BarbaraT- ok, lady... you work hard so go get one!
Joanna- I thought a long time before getting one and trying to justify one. But, they are fun.
Good morning Kathy,
You will love your iPad. We just got back from Italy and decided for this short trip to leave our big camer at home and took everthing on Gene's iPad (I left mine at home). You will enjoy the key board and should invest in one :).
Hi Kathy,
I see you have Cheryl's name. She bought an .80 cent book on ipad through Kindle. So the first app I would suggest is the kindle app. IThe next app that is really great is called, Keynote. It works with publisher and you can make some really great presentations through it. During the "mentor/mentee" contest, Charita turned me on to this gem. It's really easy to use and once you get it set up and downloaded with your information, you can create some really nice presentations. Which I would think in your profession you would have a great need for this. Tourwrist may also be a good app for you. It takes 360 degree videos. I have my banking set up on it, my house alarm through it. You can use it for everything. You will have fun exploring it. (and don't forget the games...ha ha, I play Draw free late at night with my daughter, her in her bedroom, me in mine...)
Can't help on this one...no ipad here. No "i" anything. I'm not sure if that makes me a virgin or not????
Hi Kathy, as you know I got an iPad for Mother's day....loving it. William Johnson left a comment on my post about the iPad. He suggested go to ZAGG.COM and check out the keyboard he uses ..... the Zaggfolio. I'm thinking of getting this keyboard and case.
Kathy, I love MagicPlan (instant floor plans with measurements, etc, just by pointing) and Photosynth (stitches together several images of a room, etc. to have a panaramic type image).
Kathy, One of my favorites is Moviefone. Not that I get to go often but at least it helps with reviews, times and theater locations no matter where you are. Several of my friends like Yelp, too (the restaurant review site).
Dorie- I'm thinking about it. I'll see how I end up using it. That's unbelievable that you used the iPad for your camera for the trip!
Cindy- oh boy.. I can't wait to try Tourwrist and the other apps. Thank you for this information!
Sharon- we were an "i"less house until yesterday.
Rebecca- I know.. I remember reading your post about getting the iPad!!! I'm going to head over to your post to read the comments and thanks for the heads up on Zaggfolio!
Cathy- Yea!!! I'm definitely looking into those. Thanks so much Cathy.
Debbie- I've heard of Yelp and didn't know what it was, thank you and Moviefone as well.
Kathy,
We love the Wall Street Journal App (not the mobile one) for our subscription, and I love the book app as we both read a lot, we have both the Kindle app and the Apple app. We also have a book app from the public library as we can borrow books digitally for free. We thought of getting an additional keyboard, however, we got used to the regular one. We love penultimate for ($1.99 or .99 cents, I can't remember which) which you can draw on with your finger or a stylus and color with. I find it handy when I want to draw something to illustrate, and it can be emailed. Hope this helps, and William Johnson on AR has an iPad group which has a lot of good posts. A
Kathy
I will watch your post with interest I'm about ready to buy an iPad.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Alexandra- I can't wait to try penultimate!! It would be perfect for my staging.
Lou- depending upon what you want you might want to check out Apple's refurbished iPads. I bought mine last Friday online and got it yesterday! (free shipping)!
My sisters and I got my Mom one for Mother's Day and she cried she was so shocked.
Hmmm...the one app I can't live without...umm...Words with Friends, yes definitel Words with Friends. It may not help your business so much but my username is Kerrielil if you ever want to start a game :)
Hi Kathy, maybe iPad will be your first step down the slippery slope to the Dark Side : ) The iPad is an excellent way to read things -- books, pdf documents, web pages. Perfect for Pinterest. i have a new iPad listing presentation that's a Keynote slide show created on my iMac desktop. The iPad is wonderful for travel -- you can get a card reader and move your photos from the camera to the iPad where you can see them at a large size, and mail them or upload them to Facebook.
When you have all three working together -- iPad, iPhone, and main laptop or desktop -- that's when possibilities open up. Programs have matching apps and everything synchs together. Just saying.
You are the one road to becoming a "remote" stager. Explore the camera, get the apps related to images and explore on telling what you do on the screen. Get the ACTIVERAIN app!
Congrats! I am sure you will love the iPad Kathy. I will have to keep checking back on favorite apps of folks. I have an iPad, and Macbook Pro and the iMac (I almost called it the big Mac lol) and love em all but I still have LOTS to learn. There is so much you can do with them!
Kerrie- I love Words With Friends!!! Ok I'll try to find it on my iPad.
Dianne- wow, now I really can't wait to get the new iPhone when it comes out.
Emily- thanks, I can't wait to spend more time with it. I read some of the reviews on the ActiveRain app and it sounded like you could only read blogs with it. Is that true?
Brenda- How funny. Well this is my first iAnything!
Congrats on your ipad! I bought one a few months ago for home and business and love it. I bought a wireless keyboard for when I'm at home doing lengthy emails or such, but I love the freedom to take it wherever I go, and its so much smaller than a laptop.
Joanne- Would love to know which keyboard you bought. I haven't "played" with it enough to know if I'll need one but I am looking into it.
