On my way home from presenting an offer on a listing on Monday evening, I saw a FSBO sign pointing to a pretty street in a favorite neighborhood. Dinner had to wait – I drove up to see what it was – a large, attractive cape cod .
Within the last two days, a buyer who found me on the internet had told me in detail about what she needed. Although it wasn’t an essential, she told me that her very favorite style was cape cod. I agreed – we’ve had a couple of great ones over the years also. I called the owner of this one and unfortunately this property didn’t have the one absolute essential – a first-floor master suite.
In our conversation, however, I learned that the owner is an interior decorator. We talked about staging, I got her web site and was impressed by it, and I told her a couple of advertising things that work well for me – Active Rain blogging and having multiple domain names pointing to pages on my main site. We’re talking more about those ideas next week when I get to see her house.
Since it’s not my listing and I don’t want to alert my competition to this great house until they have listed it with me, I won’t give you the name of the decorator. I have a client who may use her services.
Maybe next week I’ll have listed that house and I can revise this to add a picture of this lovely cape and a link to the web site.
