Many Sellers feel that they are ready to Stage their home after watching TV programs about Staging. This can lead to disaster. It is extremely difficult to see your home objectively. You have so many memories attached to each room and the contents. Your memories will color how you see the space.
It is important to remember that the Buyer has no memories attached to your house. To them it is just one more house on their short list. It is a product and they are ticking off their 'I wants'.
As a Burlington Stager, I bring my objectivity.
I look at your home as a product that needs marketing.
I pick up on the silent messages your home will be sending out to Buyers.
I choose features that should be highlighted. They may be one of the 'I wants' but you have them hidden.
I suggest ways to help the Buyer see how to live with the negatives.
I find out what type of Buyer will probably be looking at your home and tailor the Staging to target that Buyer.
I use your furnishings in a Selling way which may be very different than how you have been Living with them.
I will look at your budget and help you choose the best ways to spend it on preparing your home for sale.
When I leave you will have a plan specific to your home, not that home on TV.
Do the work right the first time.
