Palm Aire Lake Project Community Update

Over 200 neighbors attended the Lake Project Community Meeting on May 14^th presented by Rick Weber and Wills Ryan (Ryan Construction). There was excitement in the room and lots of information shared with us about the lake construction.   To recap what we learned:

All lakes will be completed in 14-16 months.  The construction is being accelerated because of the immediate demand for product for the Airport Expansion project.

Beginning the first part of June there will be 400-500 truckloads of material leaving our community each day. The truck traffic will be on North Course Drive behind building 53 where 4 scales (2 on each side of the road). Use caution and please reroute your travel in and out to the other side of North Course Drive. Any temporary road closures due to the construction will be posted on this website and on your building’s bulletin board.

There are two sets of survey markers behind our buildings. The marker closest to the buildings marks the property line where the construction fence has been/will be erected. The second marker is the Top of Bank marker and has “T.O.B.” written on the marker. This marks where the lake bank will start. No healthy trees are scheduled for removal between these two markers

Each lake will be interconnected to each other with Lake 5 tied into the C14 canal and the South Florida Water Management District will control the water levels.

When complete the lakes will not only enhance our property values but will also provide a water retention area for the State of Florida and keep the City of Pompano water pumps primed.

There will be lots of heavy trucks and equipment in our area so please use caution and be patient. For your safety do not, on any basis, enter the construction zone. Thank you
