construction-destruction

In an economy where sales are slow and many homes are sitting vacant, seeing the massive bulldozer disease illustrated here is somewhat shocking.

As you can see there are a huge number of new unsold and yet uncompleted townhomes right behind this now treeless tract.

They have not been built long enough to have owners.  They are also in an area where sales have been stagnant for months.

Do the bankers and developers know something the rest of us do not?

If not,  it looks as if there is a glut of unneeded product getting ready to sit and age.

The last time we checked,  the market ran on supply and demand.  Has something changed?

If it has, perhaps we should all be clued in.  If not,  this sort of optimism while questionable is refreshing to see.
