Matt Inspired this Independent Brokerage Blog!

  Hi There!

K...we are always hearing about KW, REMAX, EXIT, blah, blah, blah! Now, I have lots of friends who are "franchised at the hip", but we don't hear enough about the importance of Independent Brokerages here in the Rain.

Here's Matt's blog: http://activerain.com/blogsview/328834/Top-brokerage-franchise-by

According to the calculations displayed on Matt's deal, we stand to make up more than HALF of the membership, (66,214 as of today). If anyone has stats on the national sales avgs. of independents vs franchises, I'd love to hear them.

As of this date, just a little over a year after posting my first blog, I am on my 4th PAYING AR lead and I have referred out a couple of deals that have not yet closed. How about you? (BTW...I really don't have anything against franchises and I have referred to KW, EXIT, and some others on the out bound to prove it). I'm just having some fun and PROMOTING INDEPENDENTS.

Today, I want to hear from some Independent and small brokerages and how the rain has helped you! I want to hear how much money each of you saved in franchise fees this year! :-)

Have a great day and don't forget to blog!~

Hi Lania:

Sorry, I do not have any stats for you, just wanted to thank you for reading and commenting on my blog even if you do like the patriots. Ha.

Wow, 4th deal of AR. Do you do a lot on Localism? I so far was mostly on AR with Members Only, and I think I should get before the public to earn any business.

That the New Year resolution, so we'll see how it works.

I am an Independent Broker in Ct.  Started as a Realtor with C-21, then went to RE/MAX and became a Broker-Associate, now on my own:)  I am Coached by Buffini and Company, which has been a definite plus with the Ultimate Office Kit that they offer.  I have not had one successful referral from activerain,(Joined in Nov 06). I do believe it has enhanced my presence on the net and I have been forming relationships with good people across the US & Canada.

It's a Good Life!

Lania, I don't have stats but I can tell you how much I am saving a month by being on my own.  Prior to going on my own I was with a RE/MAX and to work out of a home office I was paying almost $1000 a month plus for each closing my E & O was an additional $65 or more.  I now pay for my E & O myself and have realized they were making lots of money off of me just for E & O not to mention everything else.  I do have expenses but they are probably about a quarter of what I was spending with RE/MAX.

We spent our Christmas this year at my sisters house in Elizabeth.  We LOVED the white Christmas.  We lived in the Denver area for 15 years and never had a white Christmas like that one.
