Before living in North Carolina, I lived in St. Petersburg, Florida. You know, I really thought I had a clear memory of what St. Pete looked like but I was wrong. During the travels with my mother recently, I had a chance to go to St. Pete and see my sisters in law and three brothers. Before going to Marlon and Marsha’s house, my mother and I took a drive along the bay front.
How could I have forgotten how lovely the bay approach to St. Pete is?

Mona, Yes... it is beautiful there! And they always have plenty of events going on to draw you to the area. Lots of waterside restaurants and shops as well.
Fred, you are so lucky to be living and working in this area. Tampa also has an awesome skyline. I couldn't believe all the changes to the area in the 25 years or so since I'd been there before. The Howard Frankland bridge now has four lanes! Last time I lived there...two lanes.
oh you didn't forget. Just because you don't think of something until you are reminded does not mean you forget. :) Thanks for the gift. I put the photo on facebook and folks love it, so when I'm back in the office I'll put it on AR too. Thanks shutterbug. And you'll be delighted to know I'm taking the day off.
I used to live in Orange County CA.. Until my daughter moved to southern CA, I had forgotten the beauty there too... love your photo... what a pretty area.!
Hi Tammy, no I didn't forget. I probably should have made myself clearer that the photo was yours for the taking. I'm delighted that you liked it and Leslie is looking forward to seeing it on AR. I am totally happy to hear you are taking a much deserved day off. Have fun.
Sharon, thanks. Yeah...I'm a whiz on the virtual framing, can't imagine how awful it would be in real life, lol.
Sheila, already I can't wait for a return trip to have more time to visit fave places and photo some more.

Good morning Mona. I have never been to St. Petersburg Florida. I have heard good things and your picture is enticing.
Sheila, you would love St Pete and the whole Tampa Bay area. I'm drawn to it again on some days!

Wow! That IS beautiful!! There is no shortage of gorgeous in NC either! We visited earlier this year and loved it!
Joni, I LOVE where I live, but I also loved St Pete. Wish I'd known you were in NC though...did you come close to the Smokies?
Mona,
That is a postcard shot. The colors are so vivid and the scene is great. :)
Steve
Steve, thank you. I remember feeling the same way about 10 years ago when I crossed the Skyway Bridge on one of those perfect Florida days.
Hi William, Next time there will be more time to revisit old haunts and explore new things.
Allen, thanks.
