Well, it seems that during current economic down low we describe as a recession the City of Newport Beach has set it's eyes on Obama. Not on a Q&A platform but rather an unpaid invoice of $35,000. On Thursday, February 16th, 2012 a campaign breakfast was held at the Shore Cliffs home of Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Nancy Stacks. This fundraiser, according to the invitation, cost the attendee and entrance fee of $2,500 per person. Then there was a $10,000 photo reception/breakfast or $35,800 "meet and greet"/breakfast option.
So with all of this money raised during this private event, not a U.S. sanctioned event, the City of Newport's Revenue Department decided to invoice Obama for America. Since this was not a presidential business related the city is treating this event as like any other. The invoice was dated for May 10th 2012 and sent to Obama's Chicago office with the request for payment within 30 days. The expenses that are listed on the invoice was the cost of services from a police lieutenant, sergeant, two officers, a reserve officer, a senior dispatch officer, and a community service officer. And let's not forget there was overtime.
After having a actual NET 120 this has given him plenty of time to cash any checks from that event. I wonder if he's going to actually pay and if not would the City of Newport send his campaign to collections? And as US citizens and So Cal OC local residence are we allowed to invoice him for our massive inconvenience and stress from his visit during our work week???
