For anyone that knows me, I am NOT a cheerleader, especially for myself. I actually am my own worst critic. Funny thing, though, I was watching the MTV show 'Made' with my kids yesterday morning. It was about a HS Junior girl who wanted to run for Junior Prom Queen. She was this girl that was a typical 'no body' and was going to be running against the Cheerleader and the other popular, pretty girl so she didn't think she had a chance. What the purpose of the show is to teach the kid how to achieve their goal...they get a coach that helps them out along the way, showing them how to step out of their comfort zones and go for it! Well this kid was amazing...she stepped out of her box, introduced herself to kids she didn't know, kids that no one ever talked to, to the popular kids that only other popular kids talked to, etc. She really put herself out there! Long story short, she won! I guess we can never be too old to learn.
So, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and I'm putting myself out there. I know my nominee profile is listed but in case you haven't voted yet, I'd love for you to consider me for Rookie Stager of the year. I'm absolutely honored for the consideration and to represented among such talented stagers.
My primary goal this year was to really create lasting business relationships. I went into this business without any kind of network because I am new to the Atlanta area; I had very few contacts to rely on to spread the word for me or assist me with networking. I was dealing with virtual strangers. I've made a few relationships, most of them being with people who knew nothing about me but luckily trusted me! That was something WAY out of the box for me!
Obviously my other goals were to stage and get business. I've had my share of occupied homes to stage as well as vacant homes to stage along with the staged models I had the amazing opportunity to do. Not bad for 10 months in business. I certainly look forward to a great 2008.
Before and After of a dining room in a partially furnished occupied home. I won the listing agent's praise and was added to her list of affiliates.
Before and After of a dining room in home that was in the process of being vacated. This home sold in less than 60 days. The REA for this home had never used a home stager before and is now sold on the power of home staging.
Before and After of a living room in a vacant home. The home owner hired the REA I recommended to them in order to get the home new exposure after being on the market for almost a year.
Thank you in advance for your consideration! Congratulations to all the nominees. It's truly an honor to among this group!
