SARGE's Animal Rescue Foundation held one of their "Adoption Day" events this weekend in the Frog Level section of Waynesville, NC. The Special Adoption Fee of $25 for cats/kittens at the "Adoption Day" event covers spay/neutering and applicable shots and meds. All animals have been rescued from the Haywood County animal control facility and have been living in foster homes. Each animal adopted makes it possible for another to be saved from the shelter.
SARGE's mission is:
"to save healthy, adoptable animals in the Haywood County Animal Control facility... to take adoptable pets from the shelter, give them the loving care they need until their forever family adopts them."
The next "Adoption Day" event is on January 19, 2008, again at the WNC Visitors' Center at 262 Depot Street in Frog Level, Waynesville, NC.
Here are a few of the furry friends I met this weekend who will not have to worry about being euthanized, thanks to SARGE's Animal Rescue Foundation.
