Nearly 37,000 residents from Sacramento to the Sierra remain without power.   Additional moisture and cold weather is on it's way though the worst is over.  80 percent of those still without power are in the area north of the American River, including heavily-treed areas in E Foothill Farms, Del Paso Heights, Citrus Heights.

SMUD's customer service line at 888-456-SMUD.

An area of particular concern was the Apple Hill area near Camino in El Dorado County.  This area has several actual power-lines down and is still with out power while being impacted by continued snowfall.

If you are without heat/electricity you are urged to go to the shelters at Sacramento's Belle Coolidge Community Center, 5699 South Land Park Drive; and the Hagginwood Community Center, 3271 Marysville Boulevard; as well as the Rancho Cordova Neighborhood Center, 10665 Coloma Road in Rancho Cordova opened Saturday and would stay open until further notice.  Also up in Auburn at Gold Country Fairgrounds' Sierra Building on High Street the American Red Cross opened a second shelter.

Rememer not to eat food that has not been refrigerated for 48 hours.
