This is an entry for the Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul Group Contest! | Fun in the Sun While the Business Still Runs! Join in on the Challenge!
In a business like ours, where we are seemingly on call 24/7, it's difficult for us to get away and enjoy ourselves without continuing to work. Recently, I had a good experience where this worked out well for me and I didn't have too much to catch up on when I returned.
The trip began very nicely and of course, while we were about to embark on a nice wine tour, my phone rings. I ignore it (pat myself on the back, as I always answer my phone, so it bothers me when I don't, haha) and allow the caller to leave a voicemail. My cousin looks at me and is proud that I didn't answer my phone. Of course my curiosity got the best of me and I had to at least listen to the voicemail. It was a great lead too, so I was bummed, haha, but I didn't call the lead back and I enjoyed the rest of my trip.
Now this, could have very easily not worked out for me, but it turned out alright, as I called the lead when I returned for my trip. The home that he wanted to see was still available, so we went to visit it and I built some good rapport. Time will tell if it will turn into anything or not, but that is how real estate is, frustrating at times, yet so rewarding.
Here is a picture of my group enjoying some great wine!
