9 Comments on Why Seated In Heavenly Places?
Bob, I appreciate you sharing this post with me. I do not have too many dreams but my wife has the kind of dreams you mention here. Both of us are open to the Spirits prompting and leading. I will share this post about dreams and visions with my Gail.
Hey Mike, Thanks for reading and passing. It's not just dreams though, that's just one of the many ways. I'm going to take a few posts to show the many faceted ways we can live from the throne room down and not vice versa. I pray you are caught up in ways you never even dreamed.
Bob, it is already starting to happen. Can't wait to read and learn more.
Bob, have you gotten any updates on Joe Jr?
I have not Mike. I sent a message to him and have not heard back yet, so we keep praying. Thanks, Bob
All I can say is "Wow!"
Being lead by God is something I am striving for, I fell/believe I do I terrible job hearing Him though.
Than, it is almost child's play to be led by the Holy Spirit. For one thing, it almost always goes against the wisdom of men and almost never makes sense to our brains. Here's a quick overview on hearing His voice. Focus your attention on Him and then ask away. The first thought no matter how off the wall it may seem is most likely the voice of the Lord. We always hear and see what it is we focus our attention on. Don't noodle it, don't think it over, don't try to analyze it. Simply find 2 others who are in the faith and ask them if it sounds like God to them. Number one thing to always remember is this: Is it love motivated? If it's not motivated by love, or any other fruits of the Spirit, it's not God's voice. It is so easy to know His will in our lives, it's all through the Bible. When I hear people say "... if it's God's will..." I know they don't know God's will.
I'll never forget a prayer meeting we had here one time. A couple was going on and on about the troubles their son-in-law was causing to their daughter. When we prayed, others were cursing this man without realizing it. Praying this and that for him to change and calling for other things to make him act differently. When it was my turn I just asked God to Bless him, to show him His great love and compassion, to give him what he didn't deserve. When I pray I normally will keep my eyes open because I can see things in the Spirit sometimes. These people looked up at me while I was praying with a look of total shock on their faces. They didn't expect me to have my eyes open and then blurted out nervously... "We never would have thought to pray that!" I knew they meant, they would never pray that. But that is God's heart, to save all, to Bless all and to show His very nature to all, no exceptions. As we saw in His Son Jesus, the new convenant is one of love to the loveless, hope for the hopeless and mercy for the merciless. I hope this helps in some way.
I've been feeling parched of late and needed to hear the word of God. I don't attend church services, or belong to a church, so I get my spirt filled in other ways. I'm so glad I decided to check out Christianity in the Rain today to have read your post. Very good read and I also believe in prophetic dreams. The Lord's Prayer is so amazing. When we say "Thy Kindgom come" we are reaffirming that the Lord's Kingdom has come to this early planet, through Jesus. I truly believe that His Kingdom has come, brought forth by the Lord. So when we are seated in Heavenly places, it just might be in the driver's seat of the motorcoach! His Kingdom has come and His Will is done . . . on earth as in Heaven. We just need to embrace it and for me, when I get stressed and anxiety ridden, I forget this and get a little parched. Thank you for the refreshing words.
Carla, the absolute best thing about our Daddy is when you need a drink, all we need to do is turn our affections towards Him and ask for a drink. He'll fill you to overflowing. We become parched because we're leaky vessels, thus we have the need to fill up every single day. Have you read One Thousand Gifts?
