Greenville SC Real Estate market seems to be heating up. A lot of the Greater Greenville homes for sale are

selling in less time. Some of them are even going under contract within just days on the market. This is evidenced by the average Days On Market (DOM) in April 2012, which was at 107 days. The average DOM for April of 2011 was 116 days.

There were 606 homes sold in the Greater Greenville SC real estate market in April of 2012 vs. 582 homes sold the same time last year. The median sales price was $140,312 in April 2012, and was $135,000 in April of 2011. The average sales price was $174,343 in April 2012, and $165,285 in April of 2011. The 606 sold homes in April 2012 received a list price to sale price ratio of 95.3% versus 94.6% of list price received in April 2011.

At the end of April 2012, there were 6356 available residential homes for sale in Greenville SC real estate market. This may seem like a lot of available inventory, but it is 13.1% less than the 7317 available inventory in April of 2011. The total months supply of inventory is now at 11.7. Which means that if no other homes came on the market, it will take 11.7 months to sell off the 6356  Greenville area homes for sale that were available at the end of April 2012. There were 14.0 months supply of inventory available at the end of April 2011.
