The Metaphor of the Half-Pipe

"Skater" by Jen Ward

Try searching for pictures of skateboarders. Rarely will you see them at the low point. Yet you'll find many spectacular photos showing them barreling down hill or flying high above the boundaries of the half -pipe.

The bottom of the pipe- both approaching and slightly rising are less intersting to us.

This is our real estate market. Some economists will vary, saying the market has
  • approached the trough
  • is at the low point
  • is on a slight rise

To the investor it doesn't matter... as long as it's any of the three. The average investor is happy to see that the properties they desire are in the comfort range.

So... while the press writes housing's daily obituary. Investors are buying up the bargains.

Maybe you can be one of them?

If you like the imagery... and can see yourself flying uphill, give me a call.

I love the analogy. Real estate with all it's cycles and changes is like skateboarding a half-pipe.

Chuck,
That is an amazing analogy.  Are you a skateboarder?  I have a cousin who is a fantastic skateboarder, been in some professional videos and he has designed some also.  An interesting sport.

Cynthia: No, not a skateboarder- I'm more comfortable on a snowboard... at least the landing is easier! hmmmm another analogy? (As Rosario noticed.)
