Whatever your business is, if you are taking photos for it, make sure they turn out how you want! Don't just go around and blindly take pictures here and there and have enough confidence in your "professional" photography skills and never check your camera! Who wants to take hundreds of pictures of a listing and get back to your office to upload them, and you realize more than half are out of focus or do not have enough lighting. This happens to the best of us so no reason to get frustrated about it. However, real estate is all about your client and you don't want to keep invading their personal space because you failed to do it right the first time. All I am trying to stress is after you take pictures of one room, hit that little sideways triangle button with the box around it and CHECK THE PICTURE QUALITY!
Another thing we always do when we are shooting the outside shot is to walk in half moon type arc from on corner angle of the home to the other shooting multiple photos as we go, when we get back to the office we have plenty of good photos to choose from that way
Such great advice! I do hate when that happens... coming home and surprise! Gotta go back! Do not forget the extra batteries too.
With the instant viewing the Digital age gives us, other than bad weather, there isn't much reason for bad photo's
Very good advice Sarah,
I usually take about 60 pictures consisting of 3 of each room, numerous angles of features or repairs, and lots of backyard pictures. It helps me to remember features and problems when I get back to my office plus I have a lot of choices for the MLS. We now can put in up to 35 photos so I like to have 35 good ones.
I usually sit in my car and run through the photos so in case I missed something, I can easily go back inside before leaving. Same with my animal photos. You usually do not get a second chance with them.
Great advice for all of us and thanks so much.
