22 Comments on Woo Hoo! I Sold My First Painting!
Alexandra, Thanx! It is an unexpected turn of events, I really was just painting for my biz, but if I can actually paint things that people want, Woo hoo!
Bob, Thanx, I guess so! Although I'm not making quite as much... :D Still it is a lot like the feeling I have when one of my Staged homes sells!
Congratulations, better do a couple more paintings and maybe you will end up partners with your mentor! :)
Peg - that is so cool, congratulations!!!! This sounds like something you can use in your staging - again, congrats on the sale!
Congrats Peg-That is definitely a win-win situation. I see MANY more paintings in your future.
Phil, that would be marvelous! :D I am going to do a series like this one, because it was so much fun and easy to mix the colours etc...
Barbara, I was very surprised when she walked in and said that! Although I'll have to do multiples if I want to keep some for Staging... lol
Sharon, Thanx! You're a fortune teller! There will be many more paintings about to happen. I am trying to schedule my Fridays so I can go there and paint all day! I'm going to have to borrow my husbands truck to haul more canvi... :D
Peg - that is AWESOME!! Congrats on your first sale! And how brilliant to make your OWN art to work within your staging!
Sharon, Thanx! I have my fave colours in accessories and I wanted to have artwork that would match. I'm notoriously cheap, so didn't want to pay another artist a pile of $$ to paint me something, so here I am with another hat to add to my collection! I love my life!
Congratulations Peg! You get to incorporate your love and talents and make money doing it! Win, win, win!!
Congratulations!!! I tolled you last time, you should open your own gallery! Anyway it is great to know people with connections.
Kerrie! It's so great to be able to do things that you love and get paid for it! I pity people who work just for the money but hate their jobs...
Anna, I think I need to paint a bit more before I could do something like that... but I'm working on it! :D
Congratulations Pat, that's terrific! Love the painting, especially the colors!
Jan
Thanx Jan! I love all those colours too! It's funny when you paint something for yourself and someone else likes it too!
Peg - What a thrill! Love the colours and textures of this painting, Peg-casso!
Sal gal! Thanx! It's so thrilling to have someone else like what you've done, especially when it was originally done for my own gratification...
Congratulations. I really like your painting. It looks like you can almost reach out and feel the different textures.
Peg, Good job my friend. We never see our artwork as others do. I look at something I create and say Ehhhhh. Someone else sees it and says Oh my gosh - I love it. Of course I pay them to do that.
Thanx Sondra! I was thinking about different textures, so i'm glad you can see them!
BB, LOL! You are too funny! i'm glad you have experienced that!
How exciting! I'm very happy for you. At $1500 I couldn't afford one, though! I'll just have to paint my own, LOL!
Sharon, lol, that's why I started painting my own! It is very excitng!
