Z Marketplace in Tahoe Donner

What Everybody Ought to Know about Z Marketplace is that it has a great wine selection and a fantastic gluten-free food section. Located in the heart of Tahoe Donner, next to Trout Creek Recreation Center and Tahoe Donner Golf Course, this neighborhood market (formerly Ames Deli and Will's Market) has all the essentials: groceries, deli, wine, beer, spirits ...Customers are pleased to see such a well stocked neighborhood market with very reasonable prices.

During the summer, the outdoor BBQ is a popular place for delicious hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. My husband, a contractor who is building a house nearby, frequents this friendly market for his lunch and snacks throughout the day.

If you have a second home in Tahoe Donner and just want to spend a relaxing vacation without having to go down the hill, you can get all your food supplies at Z Martketplace. I still remember the winter of 1991 where we had a big snow storm. Our guest could not get out since all the roads were closed and our supplies were running low. We were living on Hillside Drive which was not too far from Ames Deli. My husband and I strapped on our cross country skis and backpacks and we skied to the store for some needed supplies. Of course everyone else had the same ideas so by the time we got there, the shelves were mostly empty...but we did bring home some tasty ice cream :-)
