Haven't Had Enough Skiing Yet? Timberline On Mt. Hood Opens For Summer
Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood is one of the few ski resorts in the US where you can ski and snowboard right through the summer, to the scheduled closing date of September 3rd. Summer snow season officially begins on May 29th.
The Palmer Snowfield provides amazing skiing and riding above the tree line at an elevation of 8,540′. The terrain is for advanced intermediate and above skill level... just imagine carving turns and catching air on a warm summer day!
Timberline also offers numerous snow camps through the summer and the lodge offers food.
Located less than an hour from Portland, Oregon to the north and 45 minutes from Hood River to the East, Timberline is a marvelous summer day getaway, away from the mainstream.
