Thanks for the blog.I have noticed a rise in my ranking all over the place.Some is due to better tagging onmy part but I notice a fair amount of links to my web site come from Active Rain..of course it does not hurt to post in the forums...Active Rain is growing very fast.

I'm just starting to use Google Alerts to track a couple of keyword phrases. It's amazing how quickly ActiveRain content shows up. Sometimes only hours after I blog on ActiveRain I get an email from Google Alerts about that very same blog!

I was amazed myself when I'd only been on AR for a couple weeks and my AR blog was already on Google.  I didn't even care if it was page one at that time.  To get on Google in two weeks is amazing!

I have had the same reuslts Bonnie, and quickly.

Yoou are right Lenn, I have great links to my local place names thanks to Active Rain.  It is quick.  Market reports are not as fun to do as some of the Active Rain entries but they make great consumer links.

Think of who your audience is - and write for them. Don't worry about the points.

Lenn, Yep I've been noticing that for quite a few months and glad to see it. It seems a whole lot easier than trying to get placement for the websites.
