It's getting hotter, so it must be time for the Hamilton Township Berry Festival!  Held at Maineville's Testerman Park June 8 & 9, this two day party celebrates the area agricultural heritage and berries! Warn the little kiddies there's going to be some fireworks after dark, as resident expert's Rozzi's Famous Fireworks will be putting on quite the boom and bang Saturday at 10:30 p.m.!

The Berry Festival at Maineville's Testerman Park (8373 Maineville Rd) will run Friday from 5 - 11 pm. and Saturday 4 - 11 pm.

Friday night you get the Berry Blaze 5k (7:30 p.m.), live entertainment by Bibs & Barefeet and The Richard Lynch Band.  And of course, it's a festival so expect carnival rides and festival food! 

Saturday you get a 4 p.m. parade, more live entertainment starting at 8 p.m. with After Midnight, more rides and food, and fireworks at 10:30.  On Saturday you also get a shuttle bus from Maineville Elementary making the rounds from 4 to 11:30 p.m.

Of course, the event is FREE other than what you spend on rides and food!

My kid can eat his weight in berries, and wouldn't complain too much about the rides & fireworks either!  Sounds like a wonderful local event.... Have Fun and eat a few berries for us!

Conrad, They're non-discrimatory, any berry will do here!  Can't say I've encountered many berries that I don't like!  Strawberries continue to be my favorites!

Anita, Used to pick a LOT of blackberries as a kid.  My mom would turn them into jam or cobblers.  Win-win either way!

Amy, Rozzi's is pretty famous around here for their fireworks.  They put on some awesome shows.

Dorie, They just started this festival last year.  Instant success!  Ohio LOVES it's festivals!

Beth, Our area has festivals all over the place during the warm months.  There's even a banana split festival in Wilmington Ohio later this year :)

Barbara, I'm not seeing much in the way of cheap berries at the local grocer, and when you read the labels you find out most are coming from South American countries.  There are some local u-pick berry places as they come into season.

Liz, Just trying to figure out how we switch from events to people/small businesses for the month.  I need more pictures!
