Glendora Concerts AND Movies in the Park 2012

Okay, so it's almost summertime again!  Schools out, the kids are bored and we have to figure out what to do with everyone on a budget, especially in this economy.  The City of Glendora has some great suggestions for you and your family to enjoy!  Concerts AND Movies in Finkbiner Park!

I grew up at Finkbiner Park which was named after a long-time Mayor in GlendoraJoe Finkbiner.  I remember him from my childhood.  He was always such a nice guy, saying hello to a little kid like me.  Finkbiner park in Glendora has a great bandshell on one side of the huge park where they have the concerts and other events.

The bandshell is memorable to me because my oldest daughter Gracie was getting married and I was a single mom.  Finding a nice space for her to get married in was next to impossible at that time and so we chose to "rent" the bandshell at the park.  Funny thing, "renting" the bandshell - they didn't charge back then.  So all we had to do was put up chairs and stake out the space ahed of time.  It was fabulous!  And Gracie got to get married somewhere that held many of her childhood memories.

But, back to the blog at hand:  The concerts will begin Sunday, July 8th at 6PM with (ta da da DA!) THE ANSWER!  They are an amazing cover back that does classic rock and does it very well.  In fact last year they went on a your and were absent from the local city concerts.  WE MISSED YOU GUYS!  What a great kick off for Glendora's 2012 Concert In The Park Series!

Glendora's Movies in the Park Series will begin on July 11th with Puss in Boots.  You can get more information on the movies simply by calling (626) 914-2357 or by clicking HERE.

So if you're finding yourself at a loss of things to do, I suggest you check the movies and concert schedule in the City of Glendora - you won' be disappointed!

And if you're thinking of moving to the area, pick a local expert and someone you can trust!  I will be more than happy to answer your questions or help you with your real estate needs.

I know the area pretty well - it's so pretty up against the mountains.  I lived in La Canada and my brother still lives in Arcadia.  With your beautiful and dry weather, these concerts will probably never be rained out, like they are around here!

Hi Margaret, nope, no rain in the summer.  I have many friends from La Canada and used to live in Arcadia for a couple of years.  It IS beautiful here!  And maybe you get rain, but you live by the water... so jealous!
