40 Comments on The Power of Home Staging as seen in Before & After Photos
Hi Michelle ~ Thanks for your kind words. These homeowners found me thru the wife's hairdresser, who was a former client of mine :-) And yes, they were very surprised when they saw the "after" photos and told me that they kept looking back and forth to see how it was done.
Hi Cathy ~ When we're living in our homes, we make them just right for us. But when selling, as we stagers know we have to clear out all the excess and show the house itself. Glad you like the changes!
Hi Maureen, I've been reading your thoughtful comments on other peoples' posts so I thought I stop by and say hello. You already know I think you're a staging magician, an alchemist, a room-change artist. Great pictures and great staging as always. Take care, be happy and well.
Hi Lloyd ~ How nice to hear from you! I hope your weekend has been both relaxing and productive :-) Likely your weather was nicer than ours, but fortunately our plants and flowers love the rain, and I don't mind it too much. Thanks for your kind words.
That family room looks like it was totally gutted, bombed and started new! Beautiful work as always and you are so right....some times we surprise even ourselves! LOL
Hi Shar ~ Gutting and bombing wasn't even necessary LOL, since the movers took everything away! Once it was cleared out you could see what a nice big room it was ... but it was very plain when empty. Adding some warmth back in with the right furnishings made all the difference ... thanks for stopping by!
Great job and beautiful after photography!
Maureen-What a great visual example of the power of staging....with Maureen Bray! And your photos always look like a magazine shoot,my friend!
Hi Debra ~ Thanks ... it was a fun project!!
Hi Marianne ~ That's very nice of you to say ... how are you doing? Hope you're keeping well and as busy as you'd like. Isn't there a wedding coming up soon??
Maureen- sorry I'm here so late but this is excellent. No magic or mirrors, just editing and bringing the home into 2012. The family room looks bright and fresh. (I think we share the same palm tree!)
Wow there certainly is a lot of power in those before and after shots. Beautiful work as always editing and bringing in some great pieces transformed this place completely.
Hi Kathy ~ You're right, no smoke & mirrors, just staging techniques to help our seller clients get more showings and a faster sale.
Hi Wendy ~ Thanks for your comment ... the sellers were happy to see their "new" home.
Another fabulous post Maureen and what you are actually doing is also showing others how they too can stage a room with your tips and photos. From the paring down of items taking away from the space to the professional quality photos, this is an example of what all properties and sellers should expect in the real estate marketing package. It's a team effort, Realtor, stager and seller.
Hi Karen ~ You're so right that it's a "team" effort and these sellers were very motivated! Getting a good Realtor to guide with correct pricing and great marketing, and a professional stager makes for a very effective team!
Hi Maureen,
Fantastic Before and After photos!!! It's so amazing how much larger each room looked after your staging! You can actually walk around in each room! These are great examples for an occupied home seller to view to show how much of an impact home staging makes! Fabulous job as always Maureen!!!
Beautiful work Maureen! Your ability to see the potentil and highlight the best features of the room is amazing!
Hi Linda ~ Don't we stagers always tell our clients that the way you live in your home is so different than how we present it for selling? This home is a good example of that. Thanks for your nice compliment.
Hi Rebecca ~ It is what I live for, seriously :-)) Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Maureen - Such a remarkable difference from the before to the after! I can't even imagine those before photos on the MLS. Now people will be flocking to see and buy. Great job!
Hi Michelle ~ Thanks for your support, it's much appreciated! Hope all is well with you in Glendora!
Wowie Zowie Maureen! What a transformation! I didn't even notice the fireplace until the after photo! I hate beds in front of a window, and the fact they had 2 in that room... Excellent job! This place is going to go fast!
Hi Peg ~ Once all of the excess was removed, you could see what a nice home this is!! The sellers were so pleased with the staging.
