Activities for seniors offered in Georgetown

The Guerin Woods Senior Center, 1100 Cristiani Way in Georgetown, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and offers the following free activities for anyone 55 or older:

Exercise: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Jan. 15 and 16.

Coffee and chat: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Counseling by appointment: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Safety Net medication assistance program: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

New Albany-Floyd County Bookmobile: 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday.

Dr. E. Hallal on site: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Ballroom dancing lessons: 1 to 3 p.m. Friday. Registration required.

Pizza party: noon Jan. 15. $2. Registration required.

Life Span Resources programs, "Name That Tune" and "Movin' and Groovin' ": 1 p.m. Jan. 16.
