Senator Bob Corker

Today I had the opportunity to meet and listen to Bob Corker who is one of Tennessee's two U.S. Senators. Bob is completing his first 6 year term as a Senator.

Bob must be all of 160 lbs and maybe 5'4" tall but his message this morning showed me why the people of Tennessee elected him.

Senator Corker said that he is in Washington to work and when there is common ground between the two major parties then he takes the occasion to work with the other side. He stated that he refuses to go the party line. He says there is enough gridlock and that all the Senators should forget politics and do what is good for the country.

I was very impressed and plan to support him in the fall.
