After attending the "second" Fairway Mortgage BOOT CAMP in Kansas City, I am proud to annouce that I have earned the MMS - Military Mortgage Specialist designation.

The objective of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp in offering the designation of Military Mortgage Specialist™ is to provide a platform whereby our loan professionals can be thoroughly trained, equipped and certified to handle with excellence the mortgage loan needs of our active and former military clients.

Our mission is to "serve those who serve!"

As a Veteran myself, I am very PROUD that our company took the initiative to recognize the housing needs of our Active Duty Servicemembers, Veterans and their families!

Elizabeth - Thanks! I was excited when our company (Fairway) decided to create this designation, becuase I have always tried to help Veterans/Active Duty with the VA loan. I think it is good to recognize those who serve us - the ones that have paid and are paying for our freedoms.

Congratulations.. I have been trying for years --as have many of my VA buyers to have the VA drop the rule that the VA buyer cannot pay any portion of the Commission due the buyer. FHA dropped this years ago. They do a disservice to the Veteran, because they cannot be adequatedly represented. With business models such as entry only where the co-broke fee is $500 or 1 apple... to those who don't split the co-broke. this doesn't make sense any more. So buyer agent don't want to work for nothing.. and sellers agents represent the seller and not the buyer... and in my opinion the Veteran should be able to make a difference between the co-broke fee and the buyer agent fee so they can be fully represented if they choose. Please helpl
