The keys to your new home are a little wet... Sorry!
I had an out of town closing yesterday. The sellers are out of state, the buyer and his attorney... 3 hours away. Considering that we were all in different areas, the closing went really, really smooth (thank goodness for technology and a great team of professionals).
The buyer is spending the weekend on the Crystal Coast, and when he called me this morning to arrange a time to get the keys to his new property, I was washing cars in the church parking lot to raise money for the new youth program at our church. He was thrilled, and said, "I'll drive right over and pick up the keys, my car really needs to be washed anyway".
So, while the children did their best to make his SUV sparkle, he enjoyed a glass of lemonade from the lemonade stand, and I was able to finish up the transaction by handing over his keys. He didn't even mind that the ink on the key chain was running from being dropped in a puddle of sudsy water!
What a wonderful day I had, acting like a kid again, and closing out another transaction at the same time! I am so fortunate to have clients that see the joy in it as well.
Hope you all had a wonderful day!
