Last Chance For 2012 Summerfair!
If you haven't made it down to Coney for the 2012 Summerfair yet, what are you waiting for? Today from 10-5 is your LAST chance in 2012 to visit this phenomenal collection of over 300 artists and craftspeople!
In essences you've got 300+ small business all in one place displaying and selling items you'll never find in some big box store! And while some of the artists are local, most are not. We were fortunate enough to get a break in our real estate schedule and made it down to Summerfair Saturday. We made purchases from Cherie Haney of Ann Arbor, Michigan & Herb Thomas of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania. Locally we made a purchase from Todd Feazell of Touch of Earth Pottery in Cincinnati. No specific pictures we can show you of these items because they're gifts and we can't tip our hand!
We saw amazing stained glass art from Dan Barnes of Lexington, KY that would have been worthy of any luxury home or Fortune 500 corporate office!
Prices range from just a few dollars to $15,000 as the most expensive item we saw yesterday. Yard sculpture? They've got that too! One of the biggest Big Metal Chickens you'll ever see for $950! But for the most part, there are MANY, MANY affordable items on display at Summerfair! The creativity on display is just awesome! And again, there are literally artists and craftspeople from coast to coast and north to south borders at Summerfair!
The weather is absolutely PERFECT for walking the acres of art on display! There's a food court for lunch, soda, water and beer vendors stationed throughout the grounds. Admission is only $10 per adult (includes parking), so it's a relatively inexpensive way to spend your afternoon....at least until you start falling in love with the art! And the crowds weren't bad either!
So hop in the car and head to Summerfair today, or you'll just have to wait another year for them to come back!
