Strange things I have seen during an inspection.

I ran into a couple of really strange looking ways to decorate the home.

One persons "IDEA" of interior decorating  just might not be my cup of tea.

How about you take a look and see what you think of these "IDEA'S".

This first shot was in the living room of the home. This application went around the entire room.

Metal roofing as a wainscot.

All I could think of was "O.K.".

22 Calibur shells.

I opened the closet to inspect it and what did I see? But a bunch of 22 shells.

Yes these were very "LIVE SHELLS".

Kids beware.

Toilet paper hanger in closet.

Here is a closet with a tiolet paper hanger mounted in the back of the wall.

The closet measured three feet by three feet.

Too small for a "used to be commode".

The wild fires are on the other side of the state.

I hope they stay there. This is a really big fire this time.

Back to the post, Funny what we find and sometimes never give it a second thought.

I did tell the realtor about the shells.

They said they would go and remove them.

As far as the TP holder being full....HMMMM.

Clint was there a hole in the floor under the carpet?  Of course where is the water supply?  It would be interesting to know the real story behind some of the stuff we see so we wouldn't have to have so much fun making stuff up about it :)

No hole under anything.

Just a closet with the paper holder in the wall. Vinyl floor covering and a marlite wall covering.

But thinking up stuff is the best way to have fun.

Clint, that's eerie. So what's a person to do, shut the door and pretend nothings wrong?

There's definitely something wrong with all of these pictures!

Did you google the address or do a people's search?

Hmmmm.... doesn't sound good at all!

 

Several years ago I walked into tha dreary house. The lock lock was tough to open, the smell was atrocious, it was dark and when I turned the light on, all four walls were covered with children's photographs. I closed the door because my client said, "Let's get out of here now!" So I did, but that image never left my memory and I wondered about it for a long, long time.

I try to get everyone to get a really good certified inspector to inspect a home they are buying.

But some listen to the less reputable agents and get a bad inspection.

Should have listened to me.

Clint, just wondering if this is considered "trendy" in NM?  When I was a teenager, I made bookshelves out of boards and empty Hi-C cans.  I thought they looked groovy.  I still think they look better than your examples, lol.
