There's a New Standard... at the Station. You must be willing to sacrifice an Arm, Leg, your Soul and even your Kids for a tank of gas.
There's a New Standard at the Station... and I think there's some twisted truth to it!

Great post I like your style girl! We haven't seen so much here on the south shore of MA but it comes and goes.
If I had the brains to think of such a clever sign... I'd start a revolution Lou!
I think we should get together for drinks and solve the world's problems next Friday at noonish... whatya think Carla?!
Oh Doug... we can't let them take Granny, we won't have any cookies and milk!
Joetta... I confess, I swiped it from Chevron's CEO after I killed him and hid his body in a Chevron dumpster ;)))
Well John... if I'm goin' to the poor farm b'cuz of gas prices... I'd surely like to do so with Style!
Mel-The govt takes and takes and takes. I want to know when they will give the working a break.
Mel,
Sad and true, and the oil company stocks are on the rise...Ron's sister just got back from Spain where the price of gas was $11.00 a gallon, and unemployment was at 26%. A
Cute. I was just thinking about that today too. It's amazing how much money i spend on gas every year. Seems like such a waste.
I hear ya Sharon... I'm thinking we need to break up with the middle east and find a new love on our own shores ;)))
It's all about the giggle... Pamela!
I guess we should be grateful we don't live in Spain... Alexandra!
Me too... Morris! Thinking about riding my bike to work during the summer ;)))
You know. My CPA pointed out that last year we were reimbursed at a rate of 58.5 cents per mile and that was not enough to cover the gas, oil, tires, brakes, and maintanence items I bought last year and lets not even get into insurance and payments.
I just really can't even find humor in this... it's too close to the truth.
Mel - It is funny and a little sad. Gasoline prices are getting better but they have a long way to go before they are good.
Hi Mel! This picture is so funny! Here in the Houston area, gas prices are coming down a bit. But not nearly enough!
Funny photo Mel.
Deisel prices here dropped below $4 a gallon, I think I get to keep my kids a bit longer. :)
Arm and a leg....soul...kids....lucky though they haven't taken the wife yet! Prices have relaxed a bit now but it is only temporary I am sure.
I was actually excited when I filled up my tank yesterday and it cost me less than $50! That hasn't happened in a while! And I'm sure now prices will bounce back up again just to taunt me....
So funny Mel and I think we're all feeling the pain of filling up our cars and draining our wallets - this puts it all in perspective. BTW - I was just thinking about this fall out on Fishhawke Lake with the girls! I can't wait to meet you in person and swap life stories with you! Hope all is well on the home-front!
Mel, it's nice to see that someone has a sense of humor. In the Seattle area we have crazy high gas prices. Some of the highest in the country.
Mel
Try buying gas here in SF Bay Area. I believe next to Hawaii, it is the highest in the nation. I am dreading what they are going to want based on your great photo. cheers cvc
