The Algonquin tribe gave this moon that name. Obviously named for the great strawberries we will be eating this month. Strawberries have a short harvest time. In Europe it is called the Rose moon.

Hi Conrad,
We Just had a full solar eclipse just last week. Now Venus, and then the strawberry moon.
What's going on?
Have a good day in MA?
Best, Clinr McKie
Good morning, Conrad. This morning we had the most brilliant pink sunrise. Looks as if we are in store for a celestial treat...
Conrad * I have never heard the term or seen this moon before...VERY interesting!
Wow, what an amazing site that must be. I have heard the term "strawberry moon" and had no idea what it meant. Thank you for expalining it.
This is a beautiful picture. I do not want to miss this moon. Thanks for sharing with us!
Good morning Conrad,
I am with Joe, had heard the term but never has the history behind it...thanks!
Conrad, heard the term, but never saw one or even a picture. Thanks! Enjoy your day!
I don't know Clint.
Sounds wonderful Michael. Snap a picture and share.

Your welcome Joe.
Take some photos Donald.
Did you see the eclipse Lisa?
You too Wayne.
Conrad ~ I was reading your blog at 3.40 am MDST. I took a dash outside to see a great chunk of shadow on the moon. Thanks for the alert. Night was clear, the moon bright and heaps of crazies practising for tonight.
Thanks Rob.
Glad to help Larry. What are you doing up so early?
Good Morning Conrad - I have never heard of a strawberry moon.. I know cows can jump over moons but I never knew about the strawberry or rose moon.
