LinkedIn... Use it!

Have you updated your LinkedIn app yet? I am loving this version!

So how can you utilize this incredible app for your real estate mastery?

Well...

How many recommendations do you have?

What kind of clients do you have?

By adding your clients to LinkedIn and getting their recommendation after a successful transaction, you have a clear and easy way to show potential new clients exactly what kind of reputation you have and allow them to learn more about the variety of people you represent.

So picture this...

You're at a listing appointment... They have reservations about listing because they don't know much about you... They've just met you... You're now able to show them past recommendations along with a photo of your previously satisfied clients. Not to mention the whole digital resume factor, groups you're associated with, links to your website, blog, social media, etc. It's literally the digital you.

So make sure you update your LinkedIn app and utilize that baby to its highest potential :-)

Don't have a LinkedIn account or not sure how to get the most out of it for your real estate business? You may need a little Master Agent Life magic... Give us a call ;-)

A great idea, Angela! I have a LinkedIn account but could definitely use it in a greater capacity. Did you know that you can have recommendations posted on a Facebook Business page too? Great options are available to us!

You make a great point. I have a Linkedin account but did not yet download an app, and I tend to use it for networking though I do have some recommendations on there that are very positive. Suggested. Many others will likely take heed of your advice.

Most of my clients were already in place prior to LinkedIn so I don't have that many recommendations. I think it's better to remind everyone to at least put their current pic in & current info.

Lyn, don't let that stop you... Add your previous clients onto your LinkedIn, use it as an excuse to touch base with them, and then request a recommendation. Realtors with a strong past client base have a HUGE advantage... Not only could you rack up a ton of recommendations quickly, you also stand a chance at some great new business from touching base with all those people and perhaps some additional word of mouth referrals. Don't miss the boat on this one Lyn... Take advantage of this opportunity! :-)

So true!  I have a pretty good Linkedin account with over 500 connections.  Actually, it's probably over 600.  With the few recommendations that I have, I should have more.  Will search and connect with you on Linked in!

I love LinkedIn.  I like the professionalism and ability to network with other professionals instead of globbing on to the "social" scene which sometimes can be harmful and misread.

Thanks for the post.

To be honest, I really didn't like LinkedIn. I have not been active on it. Maybe I will start to check it out more often.

I'm starting to use LinkedIn and Google+ more and more on my various businesses, but I can tell you that it gets a little overwhelming trying to keep up with all the social media stuff.  I am on Facebook ,Twitter, Google+, YouTube AND LinkedIn.  The other day I saw an article about how Corcoran real estate group in NYC uses Tumblr with great success, and I was like OH BROTHER, NOT ANOTHER ONE!!!

Matt, The key I've found with social media is focus. Focus on the ones you're likely to use most and leave it at that. I have my blog, facebook, and twitter linked, so one post in one place goes to the others. I really focus mostly on facebook. Linkedin is great for connecting and recommendations and should not be neglected but my social media focus is definitely on facebook, where most people gather and share. You tube is great for posting video blogs and video property tours and you can cross post those to facebook. It can certainly get overwhelming but just make sure you aren't wasting time on it. Quick mobile posts from your phone work well while you're on the go. I haven't made a lot of effort with google+. I did set up an account and some circles and I'm constantly getting notified of people adding me to their circles but I haven't had a lot of interest in that one... You'll have to let me know if you see a benefit to it from your efforts... :-)
